Energy Efficiency Course – City & Guilds 6084
The
City and Guilds Energy Efficiency course is aimed at bringing the existing
workforce up to date with current and future changes to the Building Regulation
(England and Wales.) It is relevant
to those people who are responsible for the advice, design and installation of
energy efficiency heating and hot water systems. It may also be of interest to those people who specify the
installation and maintenance of the heating and hot water systems and to those
who provide training and development for installers and specifiers.
Achievement
of City & Guilds 6084 is a requirement for CORGI registration.
People
entering for the qualification should meet one of the following:
µ
Appropriate
NVQ Level 3/BTEC or equivalent qualification, OR
µ
Accreditation
and recognition of skills through an appropriate industry registration scheme
e.g CORGI ACS, OFTEC 105E, UKAS, OR
µ
At least
two years industry experience in the installation of domestic heating and hot
water systems, currently un-certified skills equivalent to NVQ Level 3, OR
µ
At least
two years industry experience in the provision of design and advice services for
domestic heating and hot water systems at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Course
Details
1
day course to include training and exam. The
exam duration is 1 hour 15 minutes and is an open book, multiple choice on-line
test. You will receive a
‘provisional’ result at the end.
Prior
to the course there will be a period of home study where you will be required to
complete the pre-course study pack (supplied by Steve Willis Training on
booking.)
